The Taiwan Creative Content Agency (TAICCA) and Unframed Collection (France) are partnering up to announce a new international call for virtual reality experiences by Taiwanese creators. This initiative offers a unique opportunity for VR artists and studios from Taiwan to join the Unframed Collection catalogue and have their immersive works distributed internationally.
Through this partnership, TAICCA and Unframed Collection aim to spotlight the diversity, creativity, and artistic excellence of Taiwan’s immersive scene, while fostering long-term international distribution for Taiwanese VR works. Selected projects will become part of a dedicated Taiwanese VR section, powered by TAICCA, within the Unframed Collection catalogue. This call is open to both emerging talents and established creators working in virtual reality, who wish to expand the international reach of their artistic practice and engage with global cultural venues and audiences.
By joining Unframed Collection, selected Taiwanese VR works will benefit from:
International visibility through a trusted and curated platform
Access to a prospecting campaign across a wide network of museums, cultural institutions, public libraries, entertainment venues, etc.
Professional distribution tailored to location-based experiences (LBE)
Long-term circulation beyond festivals, including exhibitions and touring programs
We warmly invite creators to submit completed VR artworks produced or co-produced by Taiwanese teams as part of this open call, including formats such as 360 films, 6DoF standalone and free-roaming works. Projects can rely on different technologies such as standalone VR (either interactive or passive), multi-users free-roaming, or controller-free eye or hand tracking.
A wide range of artistic approaches and narratives are welcomed. Projects may explore environment related themes (including nature, wildlife and natural history), sciences and politics, social issues and stories surrounding LGBTQ+ experiences. Works in relation to art, culture, masterpieces and renowned artists are equally encouraged, as well as fiction and animated experiences.
